tony trujillo is still ripping shit like it was 1980
some words of wisdom I pulled from his thrasher interview.
you've had the same sponsors all along. what makes you stoked on them? why not play the field and search for the almighty dollar?
There's no reason to switch. I'm a norcal soldier all the way. Deluxe, anti-hero, spitfire, indy. That's all i need to set up a board. why burn bridges? Deluxe has always been about skating and their riders, straight up. i've never been a needy rider. the wheels i'm riding right now are like a month old probably. take all you want eat all you take. anti-hero is a self sufficiant machine. we don't need babysitting team managers to make decisions for us. we know how to survive on the streets and on the road.
do you have a strategy to your career?
anyone can answer that for me. strategy? is not having a strategy a strategy? trying to be a scumbag is not an angle. this is what we do and enjoy. i'm not going to stress over it. i just want people to skate. i've been on a lot of trips with young kide who complain and consume. some trips become more like an eating team. like four fuckin meals a day. i hate lagging. i think the crews i roll with avoid that pretty well. i'm very happy in my situation now and it's only going to get better. we got to teach these kids what's up and how we do things on the road.
